3. The Service and AI-Generated Content

Ark provides AI-powered career evaluations, backup career plans, and an autonomous job-search agent. The Service relies on artificial intelligence and third-party data, and its outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. The Service is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute professional, financial, legal, or career advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on the Service.

4. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

• The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid features require an active subscription.
• Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed and managed by those platforms and are subject to their terms. Subscriptions purchased on the web are processed by our payment provider.
• Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions automatically renew until canceled. You can cancel at any time through the platform you used to subscribe; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled according to the policies of the platform through which you purchased (Apple App Store, Google Play, or our web payment provider).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Provide false information or impersonate any person or entity.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Use the Service to infringe the rights of others.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding your data), is owned by Steric AI and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of the information you submit, and you grant us a license to use it to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates third-party services (for example, authentication, payment, email, AI, and job data providers). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms and policies.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ITS OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STERIC AI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where prohibited by applicable local law.
