1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you sign up or sign in (including via Google or Apple Sign-In), we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier. We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password.
• Career profile data. Information you provide to use the Service, such as your current role, employer, skills, experience, salary, location, career goals, and job preferences.
• Service content. Evaluations, backup plans, saved jobs, application status, and feedback (for example, thumbs up/down ratings) you generate or submit.
• Purchase information. When you subscribe, our payment processors collect and process your transaction details. We receive subscription status and limited transaction metadata, but we do not collect or store your full payment card number.
• Usage and device data. Log data such as IP address, device and browser type, app version, pages or screens viewed, and timestamps, collected to operate and secure the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its AI features.
• Generate career evaluations, backup plans, and personalized job matches.
• Operate the autonomous job-search agent according to your preferences.
• Process subscriptions and manage your account.
• Send you transactional messages and, where applicable, job-match digests by email.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, and technical issues.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf to operate the Service, including:

• Google and Apple — authentication (Sign-In).
• Anthropic — AI processing (Claude) to generate evaluations, plans, and job-match analysis.
• Google Play Billing, Apple App Store, RevenueCat, and Stripe — to process and manage subscriptions and payments.
• Resend — to deliver emails.
• Google Cloud — hosting and infrastructure for our backend and data storage.
• Job data sources (such as Adzuna, Jooble, and similar providers) — to retrieve job listings for your searches.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred, subject to this Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete or request deletion of your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your profile information directly in the app. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app (your account is recoverable for 30 days by signing back in). You may also request access to, or deletion of, your data by contacting us at support@steric.ai.

6. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. International Users

We operate the Service from the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
